Cypress' WICED 802.11ac Wi-Fi CYW54907 EVK (CYW954907AEVAL1F) enables Wi-Fi connectivity for a wide spectrum of IoT designs. It features a module based on Cypress’ CYW54907 device, which is a small footprint single-chip 802.11ac dual-band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) Wi-Fi SoC. The CYW54907 features a 320 MHz Arm® Cortex®-R4 MCU for application subsystem and various on-chip interfaces like Ethernet (RMII/MII), UART, SPI/QSPI, and I2C.

This evaluation kit allows for development and prototyping with the CYW54907 wireless MCU and supports the Arduino ecosystem, allowing designers to add additional hardware functionalities through off-the-shelf Arduino shields. Cypress aims to help customers take an IoT device from concept to production by supplying this easy-to-use evaluation kit and an ecosystem of IoT partner Wi-Fi modules to greatly reduce time, risk, and cost when getting to production.

The CYW54907 wireless MCU and this EVK are supported within Cypress’ Wi-Fi, BT, and combo-driven WICED Studio SDK with cloud connectivity code examples and an application framework to abstract complexity.
